Clients with multiple stores and numerous users endorse the system and the company

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (March 7, 2005) – When asked about her furniture company’s relationship with Myriad Software, Sheila Weinstock says that Myriad is not at the top of her list of priorities. Then she laughs and finishes her sentence by saying, “Which tells you things are going well.” The president and owner of Legacy Home Furnishings measures her satisfaction with Myriad by the length of time between phone calls from her director of operations. “He calls me when there’s a problem,” Weinstock says. “He hasn’t called in a long time.” Weinstock and Legacy have been with Myriad since 1992. From a single store and 15 users Weinstock’s company has grown to two retail stores, a distribution center, a corporate office and 60 users. Myriad has contributed to her company’s expansion, says Weinstock, by doing what they say they’ll do. “They’re very good at keeping up,” she says. Director of operations Richard Battles agrees. “Myriad keeps providing the updates we need to run our business.” Dorian Stacy-Sims, owner of a large independent retail operation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, echoes those sentiments. Myriad’s software enhancements have helped accommodate her company’s growth from one store and six users in 1994 to two stores and 75 users today. “I believe in the software,” she says. “Eclicktic ™ gives us the ability to network two stores that are 50 miles apart.” Edward Massood relies on Myriad’s Eclicktic to manage his multiple-store chain of Thomasville Home Furnishings in two states. Four years ago, Massood had three stores and eight users on his Myriad system. Now his 12-location operation, which includes nine stores, two distribution centers and corporate headquarters, has 70 users. “Myriad’s Windows®-based system is all I need to handle operations, including receiving, scheduling and in excess of 500 deliveries a week,” Massood says. But Massood is clear that Myriad’s software is only part of his long-standing loyalty to the company. “The people at Myriad are friendly, helpful and always accommodating. “I know Myriad will be there for us in the future, especially since we’re planning to add nine more stores over the next three years.” In addition to major furniture retailers across the country, Myriad also has the largest dealer program, including Norwalk Furniture, Bassett Furniture Direct, Thomasville Home Furnishings, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and Lane Home Furnishings stores.
