SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (September 12, 2005) – Myriad Software plans to preview several enhancements at the upcoming High Point market, including retail price changes and manufacturer cost changes in a few keystrokes, in-store electronic credit applications in seconds, and furniture deliveries automatically adjusted by furniture size and available truck space. Also on Myriad’s showcase agenda is a new module for the company’s Eclicktic™ Browser – wireless inventory control that works on a variety of hand-held devices. With Myriad’s new Retail Price/Replacement Cost Manager, only a few keystrokes are required to change retail prices or manufacturer costs temporarily or permanently, increasing or decreasing by a specific amount, a percentage or a gross margin percentage. Price changes can apply to any number of items or to any number of price changes within a category, even hundreds or thousands of changes in a single promotional category. Instead of adjusting prices after the fact, such as overriding at the point of sale, retailers can now know exactly what a price change will cost. Myriad’s new third-party financing and delivery by volume will also be presented at High Point in October. Third-party financing, or electronic credit applications, speeds the submission and approval of customer credit applications. A customer can be approved within seconds. Sales can be processed using a customer’s available credit within seconds after that. Delivery by volume increases delivery efficiency and satisfies customer expectations. This enhancement matches furniture size with available truck space and automatically keeps a running tab until a truck is filled to capacity. Myriad has also expanded the powers of its wireless Eclicktic Browser to include inventory control. Retailers can locate any item in stock, cycle inventory counts, handle receiving and more with real-time speed. Myriad’s president Carolyn Crowley will attend High Point, along with key company support and sales representatives. This High Point marks the company’s 15th year in the business. Myriad’s client base is 400-plus strong nationwide. In addition to major furniture retailers, the business-system developer has the largest dealer networks in the country, including Norwalk Furniture, Bassett Furniture Direct, Thomasville Home Furnishings, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries and Lane Home Furnishings.
