After leaving the Navy, James built a progressive career that took him through every phase of quality software development. Along this career he planted everything from engineering departments to full IT departments of which several received acclaim from their respective industries. His understanding and use of technology, management techniques and quality processes enables him to have continued success in the development of ecommerce and "software as a service" (SaaS).
While working with Toshiba International, James redesigned the hardware for their flagship product saving millions in replacement and support costs. At Sony he was credited with the redesign of their CD mastering process that greatly reduced failure rates. At Mitchell International, James created the first "quality through technology" department in the company. This took the company to CMM level 3 in just 3 years.
